Addison and Elsa met for the first time today, wait...the first time outside of their mommies' tummies! As you can see in the picture above, Addison and Elsa had some conversations "in utero" months before their official arrivals into this world. Elsa is 3 weeks older than Addison, so it was fun to see Elsa's development and what we might be seeing from Addison in the coming weeks! Like perhaps a tooth? Elsa already has one tooth poking through, with another one on the way! I'm wondering if Addison's latest round of fussiness might be some early teething. I can't feel anything yet, but the gads of drool that pour from her mouth might indicate some choppers are on the way! No, she's not officially "colicky" because she doesn't cry for hours on end with no consoling. I hate the word colic, it's just one of those words people slap on fussy babies. We like to say that she's "Highly Sensitive an Highly Spirited!" She just cries when she's out of her element, and in unfamiliar territory. It also depends on the time of day. And if Mommy is out of sight. So I guess that leaves lots of opportunities to cry, because I can't stay trapped in the house all day, and I do need a break once in awhile! She did great at Kelly's house today, and I'm attributing it to being in a calm place, with kids and babies around (she loves to look at kids) and the fact that it was morning. The car ride home was another story...screamed the whole way home. Yikes. And it's the kind of screaming that when I take her out of the car seat when we get home, she's soaked in sweat, with real tears streaming down her face. I just can't figure out what it is, she screams like there are needles in her diaper, and her car seat seams comfy and padded and not too tight. I'm wondering if it's the motion of the car and sitting backwards. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about that, she's just going to have to grow out of it. It kills me to hear her scream like that, it actually makes ME hurt inside! I feel like I'm the one sitting on needles! I keep waiting for that magical day when we can ride in the car without me singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider until my face turns blue, or the Wheels on the Bus, or the Ocean Waves CD playing...I just want a normal car ride. Maybe this is my new normal?

Addison is so adorable! I don't care what anyone says...I think she is a girl who knows what she wants and is a born leader!! You go girl!

Addison,
I can't wait until you talk. You will then tell Mommy why you don't like the car rides. It will probably be fine when you are old enough and big enough to ride facing forward.
Your slide show is beautiful...
It won't be long until Uncle Mike's and Aunt Tara's wedding.
Do you have a pretty dress?

I can't wait to talk and tell my Mom and Dad why I hate the car. I keep trying to tell them, but they can't figure it out!
Yes, I have a pretty dress for Uncle Mike and Auntie Tara's wedding, it's cream, with a pretty, pink rose in the front, and a big bow in the back. I'm going to look so cute!
Love, Addison
