Allllmooooost!

This is our reaction each time Addison is on her back, as she reeeeeaches for something, extending her body as far as it can go, WITHOUT rolling onto her tummy. Her one arm gets stuck and she can't quite figure out how to pull it close to her body to allow for a smooth roll. She's on the brink, it will be any day now! She's hated to be on her tummy since day one, so she hasn't had the desire to get there on her own. We continue to put her on her tummy each day for her necessary "tummy time" but she protests each time, regardless of the silly antics that Chris or I perform to keep her happy while she's on her tummy. However, now that there are items around the house that interest her, such as water bottles, remote controls, other babies, mommy, daddy, etc...she has a new motivation. Today at our baby/mommy book club, she ALMOST rolled, to grab at toys (other kids' toys are always more exciting than your own!) but her arm would stop her from completing her roll. Tonight we tried to get her to do it, but we only caused her to get all hyped up, which in turn caused her to get fussy and take a bit longer to get to sleep. Oops. We're so excited for her to roll, but we might be eating our words when she starts, because that means BABY PROOFING!
