55 Week Sleep Regression
Thank goodness for Moxie. One of the blogs that I read each day has alleviated my latest concerns about Addison's sleep issues. Her latest night wakings are most likely a very common sleep regression that happens with 13 month olds. Here's the link: http://www.askmoxie.org/2007/10/55-week-sleep-r.html She's been sleeping so well for MONTHS, sleeping from 7 pm - 7 am, straight. Now suddenly she's been waking up at 3 am, (past 5 nights) and SCREAMS as if she's in pain. Usually we just let her go, if it's more of a "whiny" cry, but the shrieks and ear piercing screaming is absolutely unbearable. It doesn't help to go in there and just rub her tummy and say "shhhhhhh," she gets madder and screams louder! So, we've been picking her up and rocking her back to sleep (she does quiet down) and it's been taking up to an hour! She won't shut her eyes! UGHHHHHH! Little stinker! The upside is that it eventually gets better, but WHEN? I'm turning into a zombie again...

We have run into the same thing at 18 months.. 7 to 7 and go to sleep awake and now she cries when I lay her down and is waking up in the middle of the night with screams.. are Addison and Vivi talking and planning? Let me know if you find anything that works!
Thanks for this posting. The past couple of nights Ashton also has greeted us way to early in the morning. YIKES. I'm hoping it goes away real soon!
