This is pretty much all Addison says these days! Complete with the no-no "head shake." We've officially hit the "It's Addison's way, or the highway" phase. She says no-no probably 100 times a day. "Addison, would you like your water?" No-No. "Addison, come see Mommy." No-No. "Addison, give that to Mommy." No-No. It's futile. Now that she's walking so well, she's become Miss Independent and thinks she's a big girl now! My mom and I took her for a walk the other day, and I let her out of the stroller (big mistake) and she wanted to walk in the street without holding my hand! When I demanded that she hold my hand, she proceeded to flail her body on the ground, in that "boneless" manner, screaming for all the neighborhood to hear. I've learned my lesson when we go for walks from now on. Unless we're in a completely safe area with no cars, she's going to be strapped in the stroller!
New words: Uh-Oh, Cheese, Keys
On another note, this is our last weekend in our house. (sniff sniff) Yes, we've sold the house, which is a miracle in this market. We'll be moving in with our folks (Chris' mom first, then my parents) for about 6 months. We need some time to save $ without a mortgage, in order to get into a bigger place. We're so lucky to have parents in the area that are willing to take us in! It will be great for Addison, to have her grandparents at her beckon call! And believe me, she has her grandparents wrapped around her finger! She says JUMP and her grandmas say "How high?!" We're so sad to be leaving this house, it's our first house together, and the place where we brought Addison home. It's served us well, and we have such good memories here. Our next house will be wonderful, I'm sure. It's just going to take us awhile (6 months) to get there!
