First Day of "School"

Today was Addison's first day at our local Toddler Group. We meet every Wednesday, Moms and kids. It lasts for 2 hours, which includes lots of toddler appropriate play time (rice table, water table, art, toys, play dough, etc) songs, bubbles, lunch (so cute to see them all sitting in little chairs eating lunch!) and there is also a parent education component, where half of the moms will listen to a speaker or discuss a topic, and the rest of the moms watch the kids, and then we swap the following week. We didn't have a topic today because it was the first day, but I'm looking forward to it in the future.

Addison absolutely LOVED it today. She kept gravitating to the rice table and the coloring center. It's so funny to see what kinds of things the kids gravitate towards. Some were running around the whole time, others were sitting quietly, playing or doing art. Addison did a little of both! During the circle time (songs) she wiggled out of my lap and wanted to stand in the middle of the circle, but as soon as we started a song that she liked, she came back and plopped herself in my lap!

I'm thrilled to be a part of such a great program, I know it's going to be a fun-filled year. And to top it off, some of Addison's best friends (Claire, Bella & Maguire) are in her class!
