Growing

We have an 8 pounder in the house! We had Will's weight checked today, (he's 4 weeks today!) and he weighed in at 8 lbs. 3 oz! Whew! It's always so hard to know if they're gaining, especially with breastfeeding. He's such a little peanut, so I wanted to be sure he was gaining at a good rate. We had such trouble with Addison, so I'm a bit paranoid in this department! He's gaining over an ounce a day, which is right on track! We're also thrilled that he's stretched out his feedings to every 3-4 hours, and the last couple of nights, he's gone FIVE hours! Can you say HEAVEN??? He's such a good little sleeper, knock on wood. We don't know what to do with ourselves....we're so used to a screaming newborn, we often look at each other and say "is he for real?" I hope we're not jinxing ourselves! He also LOVES the car, which is the complete opposite of Miss Fussy Pants. The car knocks him out, but the kicker is: we need to be on the freeway for him to fall asleep! Sometimes we just hop on 405 and take the next exit, just to put him to sleep, if we're doing errands.

Addison continues to be a pill...part of it is just being 2, and another significant portion is jealousy. We're doing our best to make sure she gets tons of attention, hugs and kisses, but she's definitely pushing our limits. Plus, with the extreme heat we're having right now, tantrums are NOT fun. Hopefully we will get through this stage soooooooon......
