Our little munchkin has her first cold. :( She's had a runny nose once before, but this is a full-fledged cold. Poor thing. We were up all night with her, as she tried to figure out how to breathe through her mouth and not from her stuffed up nose! We elevated one end of her crib mattress a bit, and turned on her humidifier. Plunging her nose at midnight was not fun, she was NOT happy! And when I tried to give her some Tylenol, she thought I was trying to plunge her nose again, and it was a struggle to get her to choke it down. She finally slept from about 1:30 or so, and on...but we did hear rumblings every so often. She's now coughing this morning, maybe drainage. No fever though, which is good. We're skipping our baby group today, I don't want to get our friends sick. We've been lucky to have no major sicknesses yet, it seems like our friends have already dealt with colds, stomach bugs, you name it. I don't know why we haven't picked up much yet. It's not like I'm isolating her and keeping her away from the world. Maybe she just has a super strong immune system, like her mom and dad!
