Cutest Cruiser Carnival Has Ever Seen

We just returned from a 5-Night Mexican Cruise! We went with my entire family, including my parents, Mike & Tara, Joe & Kayla, Mary & Montana. Being on a ship with a 13 month old sounded slightly daunting, but Addison was perfect! We started in San Diego, and cruised to Ensenata, and then to Cabo. The sun was fabulous, and the food was never ending. Addison tried so many new foods, I can't even count. Her favorite was the soft serve ice cream, by far. She especially loved the CONE, so we would just give her a cone to gnaw on, and she was in heaven! She was absolutely adorable in her pink sun hat, and various "cruising" outfits. She was stopped wherever we went by fellow cruisers, with comments such as "Look at that smiley girl!" or "What a pretty girl!" The Carnival staff was enamored by her as well, always coming up and cooing and smiling at her. The only downer of the whole trip was our interior room, with no windows. We were in the room quite a bit, napping twice a day, and of course early bedtime for Addison, so it was claustrophobic!

While we were in Cabo, we put her in the ocean, and she absolutely loved it! She kicked and splashed, and cried when we pulled her out. However, the sand was just as exciting! She sat on a towel and dug in the sand with Kayla & Montana. At one point, she started scooting across the sand towards the ocean!

We're happy to be home now, to get back into our routine. I feel like I'm still on the ship, rocking back and forth! Ick!

Now that we're home, our latest battle is trying to keep her from scaling the stairs, since we don't have a gate yet. She's as quick as lightening... if I turn my head she bolts for the stairs. I've caught her halfway up, and it scared me to death because she's still very wobbly. She's very confident in herself though. It's funny to watch her face and listen to her squeal as she goes up each stair.
I've posted more cruise pictures on the photo site. ;)
