Littlest Patriots

Addison spent her second 4th of July at our local parade, with her little friends Maguire and Anneke. Getting a shot of the three of them all looking at the camera was tricky, check out Maguire's face! Maybe his grimace has something to do with the face plant he did on the cement about 10 minutes earlier!

Addison sat on our laps, and clapped and squealed for the many floats and truck loads of people. The Seahawks' drum band called "Blue Thunder" was a big hit, as were the MANY dogs of all shapes and sizes! Addison "woofs" whenever she sees dogs, so she was constantly woofing!
After the parade, Addison and I headed to the beach cabin for the weekend, and poor Daddy had to work. :( My parents were there, as well as Kayla and her little friend August, so I had lots of help with Addison. Addison had a ball pushing her little scooter around the deck, and playing with the "big girls." She slept through all the loud fireworks, and there were some loud ones! It's amazing how deep they sleep at this age! It was a fun weekend, but we were so happy to come home to Daddy.
Latest developments:
Walking is still "in progress" but getting closer and closer each day. New words: Puppy, Lily (our neighbor friend) Night-Night, and today she signed "flower." She's really starting to repeat words that we say, which is so much fun! She'll be reciting the Declaration of Independence in no time at all! ;)
