Sesame? Seriously?

The culprit was the sesame in the hummus, NOT the tuna. Addison has a pretty severe allergy to sesame seeds (usually found in Asian foods and hummus) and a mild allergy to shrimp. The shrimp was a big surprise, but since it's mild, it's not as scary as the sesame. We will now carry an epi-pen wherever we go. It's that serious. The good thing is that sesame seeds are not a common ingredient, so it will be fairly easy to stay away from. She will be tested again in one year, to see if both the sesame and shrimp allergies have lessened. The Dr. was fairly confident that she will grow out of both.
She was also tested for peanuts, soy, crab, tuna, chick peas and dust mites to name a few, and all came back negative. I'm relieved about the peanuts! The appointment was long and hard on Addison...14 pricks on your back isn't fun. She's so funny with Dr.'s lately...she cries and fusses while they examine her, and then when we say "Ok, all done!" she immediately waves her hand "bye-bye" right in the Dr.'s face! She was terrified of the nurse who pricked her, and we had to wait for 15 minutes after he pricked her (he pricked her 14 times on her back, all were labeled with the kind of allergen they were testing for, so Addison's back looks like a war zone of green marker and little prick marks) so we walked her up and down the hallway in the office, and when she would come across the nurse who pricked her, she would stop in her tracks and turn the other way! Smart girl!
Today her walking improved a ton...she now is walking on her own without us prompting her to walk. She's finally realizing that maybe walking is more efficient than scooting? Although she sure can scoot fast!
Latest words: NO NO NO NO, (that's a fun one, seriously, isn't it a little early to say no?) Eye, Help and Up.
She's also picking up signs very quickly, her latest is WALK, PLEASE, NIGHT-NIGHT (Sleep) and she's trying I LOVE YOU, which is the cutest thing ever, because she tries to say it at the same time as she signs it, and it puts me in tears each time!
