After a week of NO weight gain for Addison, we (along with our dr.'s advice) decided to supplement Addison with soy formula in addition to breastfeeding. And like a true Jaross (so her dad says), she sucks it down, no problem! We're only supplementing in the evenings, when my milk supply slows down. Hopefully this will do the trick, along with my no-dairy-diet. She was 9 lbs 3 oz on Friday, so we're hoping to boost her to at least 9 lbs 9 oz by next Thursday, which would be a "normal" weight gain in a week. We would like to see her gain at least an ounce per day.
Chris is enjoying his first Father's Day today...Addison and Mommy gave him some stainless steel martini glasses and picks...he was thrilled! He's upstairs rocking Addison to sleep as I'm writing this, his favorite thing to do. He can't stop commenting on how beautiful she is! Of course Mommy agrees!
Addison had her first trip to the salon where Sara cuts Mommy's hair...Daddy came too (isn't he sweet?) so he could hand her off for a quick nursing if needed. Addison is excited for Sara to cut her hair someday, she already staked out her spot in the chair!

she is so adorable. just can't get enough of the wide eyes trying to take in as much of the world as possible. Happy Father's Day Chris. Can't wait to test-drive the new glasses!
