Addison wanted NOTHING to do with eating yesterday! It started happening the evening before last...she just wouldn't settle down while nursing, wiggling all around and acting frantic. She didn't sleep well that night, and the problem continued yesterday as well. Of course it freaked me out, especially when she started whimpering while eating. I wondered if there was something wrong with my milk supply because it seemed like she wasn't getting much. So I called the breastfeeding center at Evergreen (thank goodness for them!) and the nurse immediately asked if I had changed my diet (yes, no dairy) or started taking birth control. (yes to this too!) She said that the BC is most likely the culprit...it can reduce milk supply in some women! She said it takes about 2 weeks for moms to notice a difference, and I've been on it for 2 weeks. So...no more of that! Aside from not getting much milk from me over the last two evenings (milk supply is much better in the morning and afternoon) we think Addison had MAJOR gas to top things off! Poor thing! She was tooting all evening, and then finally let out the biggest toot we've ever heard from her, then proceeded to fill her diaper to the brim! Then she latched right on and nursed for 45 minutes! She slept well last night, and is nursing well as I'm typing this with one hand. After 2 hectic days, hopefully we will have a bit of normalcy! Can it get any crazier?

Well, good thing you were able to find the culprit of your problem.
Here is hoping normalcy comes back.
