Birthday Girl

Yesterday we had Addison's official first birthday party! The best part, by far, was watching her DEMOLISH her birthday cake! Some babies don't know what to do when a strange, colorful, round thing is sitting in front of them, but not Addison. She knew exactly what to do. She dove right in, literally. It was priceless. Everyone was in hysterics, and in the midst of smashing cake and frosting in her mouth, she would pause, and we could see her little lips moving, and she was quietly saying "Bee-Bee-Bee-Bee." I think she liked the feeling of frosting on her lips!

We were completely overwhelmed with the amount of birthday gifts showered upon Addison, she is one loved little one-year-old! Auntie Tara & Uncle Mike gave her a pink, personalized chair, which she loves trying to climb into, but she hasn't figured out how to make a graceful exit yet. We need to sit right in front of her because she leans forward and would do a face plant if someone isn't there to catch her!
