Dear Addison

Mommy and Daddy can't describe with words how much joy you've brought to our lives. From the moment we found out that you were growing in Mommy's tummy, we knew you were going to be one special girl. When we first met you on March 26, 2007 at 5:27 pm, we melted when we saw your cute folded over ear (like Daddy's!) and your sweet little button nose. When we brought you home, we kept staring at you, thinking "I can't believe she's ours!"

We instantly learned that you LOVE to be held, and to snuggle, which is still the case to this very day. We had some rough times with you for the first few months, trying to figure out why you weren't gaining weight, and what you needed to be happy. We finally decided to feed you more (duh) and that did the trick. We also decided that you are a homebody, and you love being close to Mommy, Daddy and your house. Who doesn't?

As time went on, we discovered that you love music. It calms you and puts a smile on your face. It especially calms you in the car, that from the start was a scary place for you. Each day has brought new discoveries for you. From finding your hands and feet, grabbing your favorite toys (and Mommy's hair!, and shaking anything that will make a noise...you are thrilled when you learn something new.

You have always been filled with smiles, so much that whenever we leave the house and visit friends (and strangers) we always hear comments such as "Wow! Look at that smile!" You are very expressive. As you've inched closer to your first birthday, your personality has really made an appearance. One word describes you best: HAPPY. It's such a simple word, but it's who you are! You love life. Each morning when we greet you in your crib, you grin at us and babble a big HELLO! You squeal with glee when you see your favorite toys, Mommy & Daddy, your friends (especially Maguire) and your extended family, including your grandparents, Aunties and Uncles, and cousins.

Mommy and Daddy love you so much, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you. We already know that the world is a better place now because you are here.
Love, Mommy & Daddy
