Up with the birds

Not only does Addison love birds, she's decided that she wants to wake up with them in the wee hours of the morning. I guess she can't wait to start her day. Her parents would much rather get started no earlier than 7 am, however Addison has other ideas. Over the last few days, our "Addison wake-up call" has been between 4 and 6 am. This makes for LOOOONG days. Maybe this is a new one-year old thing? Who knows. Let's just hope it's short-lived.
Addison is finally starting to pull herself up on furniture. She's only done it a couple of times, but we can tell that she's getting sturdier, and soon she'll be cruising the furniture. She also LOVES a certain tune on her Fisher Price Piano, and she pushes it all the time and bops her head back and forth to the beat! It's so funny to watch. Peek-a-boo is another biggie lately, and Addison loves to put anything over her own head, including her own dirty clothes from the laundry hamper, to play peek-a-boo with us! (above picture) The talking/babbling has increased astronomically lately. We can't get enough of listening to her yak! She loves to sit and pull out all of her books from the basket, and "read" them, using this cute high-pitched voice, pointing to pictures and turning the pages. Adorable.
The countdown has begun until the big FIRST BIRTHDAY! It's hard to believe that it's already been a year!
