Yesterday was Addison's 2nd birthday. How is it possible that another year has come and gone? Our little pumpkin was soooooooo excited for her birthday yesterday! She actually understood that it was her birthday, and she has been repeating over and over for the last couple of weeks "Addison's birthday coming!" We had to tell her yesterday that TODAY is your birthday, Addison! It's TODAY! We had a pretty normal morning, aside from mommy singing Happy Birthday over and over. We then got out of the house and met Chris for lunch at U-Village. It was fun going to Daddy's work to pick him up and then have a yummy lunch together! After a much needed nap, it was time to get ready for the party. Nana came over to help watch Addison while I cooked and got things ready. Addison was sooooo excited for her family to come over...and as always, the hit of every occasion is her cousin Kayla. Addison is absolutely obsessed with her 9 year old cousin, Kayla. She doesn't leave Kayla alone, following her around the house, saying "Kayla? Kayla? Here Kayla!" This usually involves pointing to where she wants Kayla to stand or sit, and directing her with what to do. Color Kayla? Book Kayla? Poor Kayla! She can't have a moment of peace when she's around Addison!
The party was a bit overwhelming for Addison...she was tired and refused to eat dinner. Her tune changed when Daddy dragged in her big birthday present....the look on her face was priceless. A red, retro kitchen. She was in heaven! We couldn't pry her away from it! I will post more photos later....she's hysterical with it! "Mommy, drink? Daddy, drink?" as she passes out little juice glasses to everyone! I'm sure this new kitchen will provide endless hours of pleasure in the future!

What big girl! Love the pic of the retro kitchen. I saw it on facebook. What a wonderful day for Addison but also for you and Chris! Two years of being parents and getting ready to do it again.
