#2 Update

People really mean it when they say that pregnancies can be TOTALLY different from each other. You think you know what to expect, when BAM! Something weird hits you that didn't happen with the last one. Like the puking, for instance. I was nauseated with Addison, but never puked. Puked with this one. It was fairly short-lived...especially compared to what some people go through! Knock on wood! Here's another weird one....the PERSPIRATION! I'm sweating like I've run a marathon! What's up with that?
Lastly, (I shouldn't say lastly, I'm sure there will be plenty of other weird things coming!) I had a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) at my 8 week appt. I had no symptoms, so when the Dr.'s office called to tell me, I was surprised. They put me on a week of antibiotics, and that was that. When I went in for my 12 week appt, the UTI was still there. Ugh! So they put me on another week's worth of antibiotics, and that was that. So here's where it gets annoying. I went for my 16 week appt, and the UTI is still there. Seriously? So I'm on my third round of antibiotics, and my Dr. ordered an ultrasound of my kidneys today, to rule out kidney stones. I had a previous bout of kidney stones in 2004, right after Chris and I were engaged. It was the most HORRIBLE pain I've ever experienced. Dr.'s liken it to child birth. So I guess I'm ready to go in that department, huh? During my ultrasound today, the US tech couldn't visibly detect any stones, but the radiologist will read it, and let my Dr. know for sure. Unfortunately, I can't have a CT scan while pregnant, and this is the best kind of imaging they use for detecting kidney stones. So the good news is, the preliminary report is NO STONES, which is awesome, because I have no idea what the doctor's orders would be if there were in fact stones. The other good news is....I was able to see our little guy's "package!" It was as clear as day, a little vertical pointy thing, with two round "balls" on either side! It's definitely a boy!

I can't believe you are experiencing that! At least it isn't painful, right? So glad to hear you got confirmation on the fact that IT'S A BOY!!! Now you can feel confident and plan ahead. That is great news. Hope you feel better and that they figure out what is going on! Keep in touch!
