Amy's House?

Addison is OBSESSED with her toddler group and TEACHER AMY. She says "Amy? Amy?" or sometimes it's "Cher-cher Amy?" Translation: Teacher Amy. She says her name probably 20 times a day, no joke. Her latest, however, is "Amy's house? Amy's house?" I think Addison thinks that the school is actually Amy's house. I've been chuckling over this one because many kids actually believe their teacher LIVES at school, in fact, as a kindergarten and first grade teacher, I often read the book My Teacher Sleeps in School to my class, and many of them truly believe that we teachers sleep there, and they will try to predict where we sleep, brush our teeth, etc. So Addison already believes that her teacher isn't human and doesn't do human things with the rest of the world. Don't you remember seeing your teacher at the grocery store, or driving a car, and you would think "Wow, she shops at Safeway? She knows how to drive?" It's so funny to see these things coming out in our daughter. We absolutely LOVE Amy, and I don't know what's going to happen next year when she has a new teacher. Amy doesn't teach the next age group, so I'll have to start prepping Addison this spring about her new teacher. I think Amy needs to bite the bullet and teach the 2 year olds....or start a school of her own! :)
