Funny Girl

Addison is so hysterical lately, we just can't get enough of her! She's talking so much, often enough that she doesn't quit until someone responds to her. Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Complete with the questioning inflection in her voice. Her latest is when we're driving in the car, she demands that I put up my hood. "Hat, Mommy! Hat, Mommy!" She's relentless until I put it on, and I look back and she has hers on too. She has a huge grin on her face, like "Ha! She did it!" I seriously look like I've just robbed a bank! Chris took part in the hood-wearing yesterday, and Addison was pleased to no end that her whole family was wearing hoods in the car!
We also have lots of singing going on...her favorite song has to be the Caillou theme song. It's the most ANNOYING song on the planet, and Chris and I catch ourselves humming the tune as well. She doesn't know the words, so she does what I do, by singing "do, do-do, do, do, do...Caillou, Caillou, I'm Caillou....That's Me!" It's so cute to hear her singing. We even hear her singing it when she's in bed! I've also been singing "Baby it's Cold Outside" to her and she repeats this almost verbatim! So cute!

We had a third haircut today, and we've figured out the trick to keep her from screaming. Distraction. Bella and Max is a darling store/salon in Bothell's Country Village, and she sat in a pink cadillac car, while watching Dora (she's never seen Dora before!) and played with toys, while the stylist snipped her hair. She just needed a trim, as it was getting pretty shaggy. She was a dream this time! She was initially unsure, but once she sat in the car, and saw the basket of toys, she didn't even realize what was going on! Whew!

The Christmas tree and decorations were taken down one night last week while she was sleeping. When she woke up the next morning, she walked into the living room (we were in the other room) and we could hear "OHHHH NO!!! OHHHH NO!!!" Chris said to her "What happened?" Addison immediately said "What happened? Tree???" We were in hysterics, she is soooooo dramatic when she says OH NO! Hmmm, wonder where she gets that from? :)

Pregnancy Update:
I've made it to the 2nd trimester BLISS! I'm feeling great, and my energy seems to be coming back. No more 2 hour naps in the middle of the day. I'm definitely showing, and I was very annoyed that I popped out so quickly this time, but my doctor said that the body has "memory" of my prior pregnancy, and showing early is very common. I'm a little unnerved about the size of boys in both of our families...Chris has a cousin that was close to 11 lbs at birth! My brothers were both 8-9 lbs, and Chris and his brother were in that range too. I'm guessing this is going to be a big boy! We'll find out more at my 20 week appt. in Feb.

13 week belly shot (yes, I'm big...but it's slowing down)

Number one, I feel you on the Calliou song. I know exactly what it is and it can get stuck in your head for hours!!! Secondly, you look fantastic!

Congratulation on your pregnancy! Sarah is quite excited for you. She still talks about you. When she was Addison's age she would also scream "oh no!" about everything! So funny! Wish I could go back to those days sometimes! - Cristy
